This Spaghetti with Meat Sauce recipe combines Italian seasoned tomatoes, ground beef, and savory flavors to create this hearty, mouthwatering family favorite.
16 ounces Golden Grain® Pot-Sized® Spaghetti, uncooked
1 pound ground beef (85% lean or more)
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano, undrained
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt; drain well.
2While spaghetti is cooking, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion for 7 minutes or until beef is crumbled and cooked through. Drain off any excess fat.
3Add tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, and brown sugar to skillet and stir well. Reduce heat to medium-low, and let sauce simmer for approximately 15 minutes or until heated through.
4Add cooked spaghetti to a large platter or bowl and pour sauce over spaghetti. Mix lightly if desired and serve immediately.
