Spaghetti Carbonara

Golden Grain 100% Whole Grain Spaghetti

Ingredients
  • 1 box (13.25 oz) 100% whole grain spaghetti
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken stock or broth
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Parsley to taste, fresh or dried
Directions
  1. In a large skillet, cook onion in olive oil over medium heat until tender, or 3 to 5 minutes. Add bacon and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Stir in broth and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with black pepper.
  2. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions. Combine sauce and pasta in mixing bowl. Add egg yolks, Parmesan, parsley and gently toss. Serve immediately.
